Our Origins

The Soap Loft was formed in 2021 with the aim to provide you with lovingly made handmade bath and body products. I've always had a passion for creating my own skin care products and my journey with soap started a few years ago when I was suffering with stress triggered ezcema. I started looking into the products that I was applying to my skin and their ingredients to find they were full of harsh chemicals that were further dying my skin and exacerbating the issue. At the time I really struggled to find products that were kind to the skin and cleansing. I then discovered I could make my own soaps and ever since my soap is all I use in the shower to cleanse my face and body and it's made a massive difference to my mental and physical health! I started giving soap bars out to our friends and family to find they all enjoyed their experience of using the bars too and before we knew it The Soap Loft was born.

One of my favourite oils I add to the soap bars is Hemp Seed oil. It's amazing for most skin types at moisturising your skin without clogging your pores. It can help to rebalancing your skin if you have dry or oily patches. Our carefully formulated bars contain luxurious butters and oils. Olive oil, shea butter, coconut oil, hemp seed oil, castor oil and kaolin clay producing a bar of soap which is moisturising, cleansing and delight to use. We also retain the naturally formed glycerin in our soap bars for added moisture when cleansing. We do not use any harsh chemicals, nasties or preservatives in our soaps. Here at The Soap Loft we aim to be as eco friendly as possible and one way we do this is by reusing the stuffing we get with our deliveries to ensure your soaps get to you as safely as possible.
